| | | Made The Local Paper Kilted
Hard to see, but I'm third from left carrying the U.S. Navy flag in this Veteran's Day parade pic.
Wearing my USA Kilts Navy Tartan semi-trad in honor of my late uncle Larry - a wonderful mentor in my youth, and his son, my cousin-brother Bill. Both were brown shoe Navy from War 2 on through Viet Nam.
Here's a color pic of my turn out from the parade. The jacket is a War 2 replica. The boonie hat was a tribute to the Viet Nam era.
Nothing mentioned in the article about a kilted guy in the color guard, but hey, that's good. Just accepted.

Congrats, Ron, and thanks for providing this service.
By the way, what is a "brown shoe"?

Well done, Ron, a press cutting to be proud of.

Well done, Ron! That is a very beautiful tartan. I don't have a navy connection, though, so no jonsing here.
