    Manor House on PBS

The Manor House is sort of a socialogical project where a 21st century family spends a few weeks living as if they were in the early part of the 20th century. Anyway, they held a ball wher the attendees dressed as a powerful person of that or earlier periods. One person was dressed as Bonnie Prince Charles in a PC jacket with Plaid and bonnett. There wasn't many good shots of the rig but if you watch closely you can appreciate the wardrobe. All in all the show is quite interesting.

Cavscout, that is a cool show. The families never really have a grasp of what they are getting into when they volunteer. Never saw that episode though.

I love watching those type of shows. I was thinking how good it would have been to at the end of the project to have the servants switch places with the family for a few days to let them each see the other side.

They've even done similar projects for the Vicroian Period, an early celtic period and here in the states they did a Pioneer house, Colonial House and in Canada the Frontier House. While I don't think you can ever scrub the current period influence from the participants, it's still interesting to see how they deal with the technological restrictions of the past.

Dude, I watch those shows whenever they're on PBS - OK, I'll admit it.....I'm a PBS GEEK! I saw the episode you're talking about and just about drove my girlfriend nuts by pointing at the TV and yelling, "Look, see? He's in a kilt!"
