    Mock-U-mercial

Every year, Utilikilts have a Mock-U-Mercial contest.

I think this is the best one so far: http://www.utilikilts.com/mockumer/kiltos.mov

be warned, this is between Rated R and PG 13

So when I go there and click on a commercial they want to download onto my computer....that's weird to me. Not willing to do that. Prefer just to watch it where it is.

Any techies able to clarify whats up and why the UK folks wanna put these things on my computer instead of just show them to me?

    Thanks,
    Ron

Using Windows something...recent, just got this laptop a year or so ago...

The download happens when I click on the video picture...maybe there's somewhere else to click?

Groan...I finally decided, what the heck, I can download, view, then cancel...so did...but then I found I'd have to install an Apple program to view them...that doesn't make a lot of sense, putting an Apple program on Billy Gates' machine didn't seem a wise thing to do so cancelled what I downloaded.

Maybe someday I'll meet someone with an Apple and get to see them....

try right clicking, it should bring up a list of options, since im not excatly sure what your OS and problem is, i think there will be the option to "play in windows media player" or something similar.

    Thanks Jewddha,

Tried that, even unblocked the security on it, but I guess MOV files just aren't set up for Microsoft...keeps telling me that I have to download the Apple program to read it.

My OS is Microsoft XP Home Edition version 2002, service pack 2 (whatever that means). Been adding recommended upgrades.

Guess the UK deal is just for Apple users.

QuickTime is a proprietary program just like RealMovie. Just download the FREE quicktime player and you'll be able to watch all the .mov's with no hassle. It's a quick and painless download written for use with your OS. (Just make sure to d/l the one for windows)

(If it weren't for MS's superior marketing skills back in the day, we'd all be running MACs.)
