I've loved the Pythons ever since I was 6 and saw them on PBS. This sketch is just so silly it's wonderful.

I'm so cut off from the outside world in so many ways... I assume this is the series of sketches where English people are turned into Scotsmen in a puff of smoke and they lift an arm, spin around, and march off north?

Actually no that was from a different series of Python, there's a thread about it here:- http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...odgorny-55887/

In the kamikaze sketch it appears as though Cleese and Jones are wearing HLI uniforms, certainly looks like their badge and MacKenzie tartan- I wonder if the BBC costume department had picked up a bunch of their old uniforms as the regiment had disbanded about 12 years earlier?

I loved the sketch about the sheep that hung out in the trees, and the Queen's course on how not to be seen.
