| More on Colditz Kilts
Just rereading the now closed thread on Colditz kilts. Saw a History Channel program on Colditz last night which included the first two pics in the OP of the now closed thread.
Got me to wondering how the kilted gentlemen got the kilts into a high security prison. Unlikely they were captured kilted. Guessing they either came in through the Red Cross clothing part of the Geneva Convention or that they were made in prison. Guessing the former.
Even more interesting is that the German's tolerated the kilt wearing and allowed photos of it. Perhaps a form of propaganda showing the "good care" given.
There was so much knowledge on the now closed thread, maybe someone can speak to the above.
