    Nothing but a sporran

Last year when Team McLaren was struggling in Formula 1, this journalist named Bob McKenzie said Team McLaren was so bad that if they won a race, he would run naked around Silverstone. A few weeks later, Team McLaren Driver Kimi Raikkonen won in Spa. So last weekend the guy made good on his wager.

He completed the course in 36 minutes while a F1 car can complete the course in 1 minute 20 seconds.

Guess who won the Silverstone Race this year? Team McLaren.

Am I the only one who noticed that his name was "Bob McKenzie"?

Maybe I've just seen "Strange Brew" a few times too many.

Does anyone else think that Bob McKenzie looks like Rick Moranis? (the Bob McKenzie in Colin's link I mean)

    You're kidding right?

Actually, I guess SCTV was not as readily available in the US when the MacKenzie Brothers were created. For those of you that have not heard of Bob and Doug MacKenzie, they are characters played by Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas. They hosted a "talk show" called Kanadian Korner on SCTV.

eh, ermm... of course I was kidding...

bah, who am I kidding, I had no clue

I looked around a bit though, and see that their movie 'Strange Brew' came out in '83, so I presume the brothers became popular before that. I was born in '84, so I blame that for my not knowing ;)
