ok not to squeeze my own bagpipe or anything

    http://www.maranaweeklynews.com/V2_n...id=788&page=72

I just found this article from a local paper from a few weeks ago.

I played a memorial service for the Marines killed inan osprey accident here in town.

I did it as a favor for a Work friend who organized it. and they want me back next year for the same.

on a side note...i have two weeks left in Fire Academy, and will graduate on May 16th. I plan on having a little party afterwards to celebrate. and will post a time and place when I figure out the when and where.

more than likely it will be the Auld Dubliner....but we'll see

    Congratulations!
Always nice to volunteer and then get recognition too!
Good luck on the fire academy and hope you wrap it up NOW!

    Congratulations on your upcoming graduation!

By the by, I had never heard the phrase:

"not to squeeze my own bagpipe or anything"

    Brilliant!

    Cheers

wel i thought about saying " not to toot my own horn" but I figured I play the pipes...not a horn and it seemed appropriate !!

thanks for the congrats!! its been a long 8 weeks and I havent had much time for anything but studying and sleep (which is why I havent been on here very often)

they are thinking abuot letting me play our academy into the ceremony ( AND wear a kilt too!)

here's hoping ....if they do I'll be sure to post pics !!
