Some combination of longer hose/different boots and he would have fit in here pretty well LOL Early photos, stage lighting, it almost looks like XMTS tartan -- but a later shot shows it's grey/black based. All in all, not a bad one-off, better than some we have seen.

Proudly Duncan [maternal], MacDonald and MacDaniel [paternal].
Is he wearing a doublet and waistcoat... with a ballcap???
Indeed he is. And I think there's a bottle of Johnny Walker Gold Label in his hand in one of the pictures.
"To the make of a piper go seven years of his own learning, and seven generations before. At the end of his seven years one born to it will stand at the start of knowledge, and leaning a fond ear to the drone he may have parley with old folks of old affairs." - Neil Munro
My Wife's best friend use to work in a club that he would go to a lot.
She said he was very rude to the wait staff and a lousy tipper.
I have a deep and abiding belief that you can tell a person's true character by how they treat service personnel. Rude to waiters..? probably a tool in every other facet of life as well, even if they try to disguise it.

Glasgow Herald reported this morning that P.Diddy was wearing a Hebridean Storm tartan and that he did drink from a bottle of whisky.
Most big international stars when they appear at Scottish venues wear the kilt at some point in their performance
