So many parts of that article depressed me.

Even the most successful have their failiings and shortcomings. Most choose not to parade them about. Be grateful he chose bagpipes for his failure rather than brain surgery!

This is being hashed out over at Bob Dunsire as well. Sounds like his piping and upkeep of his pipes is very limited. It's a shame that you never see any newspaper articles about Gordon Walker, Jack Lee, etc. Seems like the only interest is when it's a bit of a gimmick.

I felt the same way after reading the article. O.K., maybe not depressed, but it seems he was putting a lot of things down related to bagpipes and I didn't like that one bit

Most people are simply doing the best they can with what they have and what they know. Perhaps his exposure to really good piping has been somewhat limited.

It's funny. I tell people that I'm learning the pipes, and it's very interesting to them. I have yet to get any derogatory reactions.

Well... except from my sister in law, but she's convinced that the entire Celtic culture is just a way of hiding our desire to be cross dressers, anyway, so she doesn't count.

I wonder if this gentleman approaches his work with the same attitude as he does the 'pipes? If so, I don't think I'd want to work for him.

Definitely a unique car. I don't think I've ever seen one before. I've heard the name mentioned, but never actually seen one. I was born in 1979, so it was before my time.
