Rowdy Roddy Piper

There's a comercial playing on TV now in the Portland Oregon market featuring Rowdy Roddy Piper. It's in a series of commercials for a carpet company that features their spokesperson "Carpet Carl" suffering various mishaps. In this particular commercial Carl introduces Rowdy Roddy who promptly picks him up and pitches him over a railing. Roddy is wearing his trademark kilt and leather jacket, but because he's standing behind the railing most people probably won't notice. Still funny to watch though.

I couldn't stop laughing when I read this post. What timing. I've haven't seen the commercial, in fact I had no idea who Rowdy Roddy Piper was until the day before yesterday. My wife was reading to me out of one of her old diaries -- I think she was about 10 years old, hilarious stuff -- and she had the biggest crush on that man. Even then she liked men in kilts.

but he did on his trading card

He was on WWE Raw (the first show on USA in a long time) the other night with no sporran on as well. First thing I noticed when he came out! My wife rolled her eyes at me when I mentioned it.
