    Shirley Temple in a Kilt!

My family just watched Wee Willie Winkie a Shirley Temple movie from 1937.

It is an interesting companion piece to Gunga Din. The wee lass comes with her mother to live with her grandfather in India. The old man happens to be the Colonel of a Scottish regiment.

Plenty of kilts, piping, and even "Old Lang Sang"

Also it should be noted that the XMTS Pith Helmet Brigade will find this movie very satisfactory!

(We really need a pith helmeted smiley for XMTS!)

A charming movie and worth checking out

    Cheers

    Jamie

Original Artwork by George... I can tweak it... Xmarks can keep it.

WWW shown on afternoon TV was probably my first introduction to the pipes and kilt as a small boy.

Those are definitely kilt do's. They were some great days in Hollywood.

Any of her movies would be a good choice for a rainy afternoon with popcorn and a roaring fire.
