    Small town paper...

    http://www.countypressonline.com/Web..._Story_2483679

This article was about Tim Welch (the retired police officer who helped me design the Law Enforcement tartan) and was in one of those "free weekly papers" that comes in your mail box. This was the picture that was in the article:

Thats a great photo Rocky, I wonder if you can get permission to use it on the new site.

Great pic, a nice addition to my kilted cops picture collection.

Been attending my local Citizen's Police Academy on Tuesday nights...not kilted yet. Should have scored one of these for the occasion...

    Touching article too.

That is a very touching article and a great photo. I'm sending the link to my brother who is also in law enforcement in L.A. County.

Congratulations Rocky. That is a beautiful tartan and one that I'm adding to my Wants List - it would sit well in The Kollection! I particularly like the shade of blue as it appears in the 'Press' image, but it comes across as being a little darker in the photos on your new website. Which would you say is the more accurate showing?

    Take care,
    Ham.

On my monitor, the one in the press photo shows up a tad darker...

Actually, I need to take a new picture of the fabric. The FIRST run was done by Marton Mills. We've exhausted that supply and had the second run done by Lochcarron in 16 oz wool. While the colors are almost the same, the Lochcarron run (current) is a TINY bit darker blue.

Thanks to everyone for the positive responses! One thing the the article DOESN'T say is that we're the only place you can purchase kilts in that tartan.
