Tartan TV part2
Ok, I tried to post once and it did not appear. Therefore I shall make another attempt, which is why I titled this part two.
Yesterday afternoon I found a show on PBS/ETV called Tartan TV. This was the first time I had seen it and found it interesting. They were at Loch Ness, prepared Cullen Skink, and showed a craftsman making a set of pipes. It is my understanding that it is in it's second season in Canada, and it's first in the US. Any body seen it? for more info:

It sounds very interesting. I'm going to have to spend some time on thier website, since we don't get it here. Maybe I can talk the local PBS into carrying it.
Thanks for the heads up.

I enjoy Tartan TV every chance I can.
My biggest complaint about SCETV (South Carolina PBS) is that they will Interrupt Tartan TV every chance they get.
Anytime they want to air something else they will bump Tartan TV.
They also seem to repeat the show a little too often (at least this season). The one with Loch Ness aired in January as well. They should show some of the older shows and mix it up a little. Just this year they seem to only be going back to 2005 series. Before they had access to shows for 3 seasons, which was excellent since most of their shows are not time sensitive.
Another wonderful show airs right before Tartan TV is
Out of Ireland. Watching this will keep you updated on the latest happenings
with Ireland and it's people. Not much on kilts here but a great show
to broaden your horizons.

I might look like I'm doing nothing, but at the cellular level I'm really quite busy.

Is it just me or does the Tartan TV store look a lot like the kilt store web site??

No it's not just you. The Tartan TV Shop is managed by the Scotweb group that runs, amongst others, the excellent KiltStore.net website.

Nashville's PBS station shows it sporadicly. It was on for about 2 months then went away. Then a few weeks ago the showed a couple more episodes. The last episode they had was the 2003 New york Tartan day celebration. The only bad thing is that they show at 10:30 PM Sunday night. But I made it a point to stay up and watch it. I really enjoyed watching it. My wife even found it interesting. I miss it.

I've had the pleasure of catching Tartan TV, sporadically, broadcast on WPBS from Watertown, NY, I believe. Nicely done. But too short at 30 minutes.
