Wait, wait, don't tell me!
I was listening the other night to on of my favourite radio shows, Wait Wait… Don't Tell Me! on NPR, when a gentleman named Ken Schneck, the dean of students at Marlboro College in Vermont, phoned in a a listener contestant.
Amy Dickenson, of Ask Amy fame and a member of this week's panel, informed him that
"My nephew goes there!"
"Then I know him."
"He's like, in his seventeenth semester, and …"
"Oh, then I really know him."
The show's host, Peter Sagal, expressed surprise that the dean could automatically assume that he knew the student in question, and Mr. Schneck explained that
"It's tiny, there's only, there's around 326 students …"
"One thing my nephew loves about your school is that he can wear his kilt."
"I totally know who this is."
I just find it incredibly cool that casual kilt wearing has been mentioned on NPR.
By the by, is this young gentleman here amongst the rabble?

I was talking to a college student at church on Sunday who goes to Beloit. I mentioned BeloitPiper, but couldn't remember his real name. When I said that he often wears his kilt, the kid said, Yah, I know him.
