    Waiting for God

I caught the tail end of an episode of this British comedy on public television when I got home from work today. I happened to stop on it because I caught sight of a kilt. In the episode, two couples were getting married and the man in the younger couple was kilted.

Sorry, it was right at the end, so I don't know what happened in the episode.

Mayhem, most likely. It's a funny series.

I might look like I'm doing nothing, but at the cellular level I'm really quite busy.

I didn't see the episode, but it sounds like it might have been the last episode; A kilted Harvey and and his assistant Jane (the management of the old folks home) get married, while the two old people, Tom and Diana, plan to, but Tom changes his mind at the last minute.

That's the one. I saw the older man change his mind and then the rest of the episode.

They ran this series in Chicago a few years back and my wife and I watched every episode...really funny and the two principles were incredibly charming.

Stick with the series until the nebbish shelf-building son has his personality change and turns into "Fat Boy Higgins", rogue biker...it was just too much.

Amazingly, I saw that actor (sorry that I've forgotten his name) that played Tom in The Lost Prince series on Masterpiece Theatre a couple of months ago...he played Prince George's teacher at the Naval Academy. I thought that he was old when he did Waiting For God...jeez, he must be ancient. But he's still working!
