    Where there's LIFE, there's kilts.

We receive LIFE magazine (in its sadly reduced state) as an insert in our Friday paper here. I note that today there is an article on plaid as a fashion statement...and one of our own was consulted.

The article explains the difference between plaid and tartan and then goes on to mention that MATT NEWSOME can custom design one for you. Good mention, Matt.

And I didn't know that the FBI had it's own tartan...how about the IRS?

Theirs is probably green, black and white but about to be updated with gold blue and maybe a little purple. They were going to go with copper and silver but decided to round it up. The stripes look more like dollar bills with silver dollars for the buckles.

If the IRS is anything like Canada Revenue, they don't have their own tartan, but they take 40% (or more) of your tartan....

I was wondering about a CIA tartan.

Of course if they have one, it would be classified!

Cool. I got a nice phone call from the editor of the magazine a few weeks back, and then several follow up calls from their fact checker. They seemed really concerned to get thier information right, which I applaud.

I'd be interested in seeing the finished peice. I don't know if it's available in my area, but if anyone wants to be so kind as to mail me a copy, PM me.

    Thanks!
    Matt

Can somebody scan it and post it or email it to me? I would like to read it.
