you know your day is off to a wierd start when...

... you are resetting the TiVo - damn you Comcast - in the early hours of teh AM and the thing first thing it takes you to is a cartoon of 5 kilted babies flashing thier opponents of some sort (diapered before you start to worry that Nickleodeon has gone the way of Michael Jackson et al) and the opponenets running off in terror... this was followed by some really bad scottish accents, the american cartoon babies emulating thier 'scottish' friends by donning a variety of skirts/wraps & other bizarre garb, and a brief discussion of haggis & its ingredients (which was met with approval by the US kids). best part of all was when the parents of said US kids showed up they were a bit quizzical at first but then approved of thier own kids garments. this was followed by more 'scottish' cheers & flashing, whilst the pipes played in the background.

i think i need to go back to bed now...

Well, I'm 43 and a big cartoon fan -- from the Flintstones to the Fairly Odd Parents. Saturday mornings generaly find me with cartoons on while perusing (cough cough) this forum. I've not seen that particular Rugrats in some time but as well as I remember it was some sort of world culture day or something. The "tough" kids were going to pick on the Scots because they were wearing "skirts" and all the other kids decided it was cool and either put on kilts or skirts or somesuch. It was actually a fairly good diversity lesson.
