1 July 1782
1 July 1782 was the date on which the infamous Act Proscribing the Wearing of Highland Dress was repealed. I invite all XMarks people to raise their glasses in just over a week to celebrate the unlamented passing of that Act, which, ironically, in its demise paved the way for the widespread wearing of the kilt that we enjoy today.

I'llbe wearing a kilt, and getting married while wearing a kilt, on that day.

Daibhidh, thank you for the reminder. I will be landing in Glaschu and driving up to Clackmannanshire, that very morning. Nothing better than sipping uisge beatha in sight of the Wallace Monument, unless it is for such a good reason as this.
