    Aaghh! Not again!

Was planning on a nice quiet Burns Night with the family. All of us in kilts, play some piping CDs, drink a wee dram to the Bard, only to discover I've got Autism training for the scouts Wednesday Evening!

    Anyone good at cloning?

As a former Scout leader I can well understand the scheduling conflict. Seems like no matter what I wanted to do there was always somewhere else I could be by need or by choice.

I'd opt for the Burns Dinner which is only once a year. You wouldn't be the first Scouter to miss a training session - everyone has conflicts at one time another (to include anniversary and birthday celebrations, vacations, work, and even other Scout events). You can always attend the training at another District (or reschedule it if you're the trainer).

I almost had that problem this year. Burns Night and the council Wood Badge Dinner (Gilwell Reunion) were scheduled for this Saturday, but a training conflict caused the Wood Badge event to move to the 4th of Feburary. The hard part was convincing the missus to let me do both! (She did.)

Unfortunately I can miss this as we have a kid who 'may' have it so I need to know how to handle him and not lose my temper with him...which has been a strain.

May just re-schedule Burns for Saturday as I KNOW I'm free Saturday evening...

Can you say these two things in the same sentence?

Well compared to being at cubs with 20+ kids, yes, I say I can use those in the same sentence...
