Any DC area Kilties, HELP!

I just got notified that I am slotted for a spot in some training available in the DC area (Fairfax, VA) from 22-23 July.
I've been checking on rates (travelocity, priceline, etc) and found I can fly in, rent a car and stay two nights for $570. If I rent a car (might get a deal as I have a connection in the family) and just drive it, I'll save about $100.

I could use a tour guide for some dinner and quick tour of some of the monuments.

Or at least some insider advice on some stuff.
