Anyone speaking Latin or French?

I have a little parargraph of text I need to be translated into those two languages. This is a part of Living Medieval Association's project. If any of you know those languages, please let me know. I think French is easy, Latin could pose a problem

P.S. By the way, if any of you want a curved shield with your family crest I'm up to it, I'm part of the Association's equipment guild as a shieldmaker...

French no problem.

Have not spoken Latin for some years now, I'm afraid.

Both my Latin and my French are totally rusty after thirty-odd years of not having much occasion to use either. This is unfortunate because we have a French exchange student showing up about a week from now...wouldn't it be weird if it was an Ancient Roman exchange student....

My kids have found these "universal translator" kind of things on the internet, though. They've fallen back on them when they've gotten stuck with a homework assignment...the translations are a bit stiff and literal but they at least give you a starting point.

Wasn't there a Finnish radio station in the 90s that was braodcasting the news in Latin? I remember listening in then - I think it was from Finland - it did wonders to revive what I remembered from school.
