    Talking boss lady's comment

As some of you regulars know, I recently took a different part-time job. I left the cooking school gig for a line cooks position (cold plating, fry, grill, deserts) at a bistro ran by another fellow that I worked with at the cooking school. I love it but the down side is that now I work more so I am kilted MUCH less Well on my days off I will sometimes eat there because the food is good. The woman that owns the place loves my kilts. Now when I come through the front door dressed out in all black kitchen clothes with my knife roll over my shoulder the boss lady says to any customers that are near her “That’s one of our chef’s. His name is David. Normally he wears kilts when he’s not working. He has 13 of them.” Makes me feel good.

If this is the men's department, where are the kilts?

I'm glad to hear that things are going well and you're enjoying the new job. I wish I could make it up for the kilt night with Turpin. Enjoy it for me.

Very cool, do you think you could wear your kilt, and change before your shift? When I worked in a kitchen I had to change, so that is why I ask.

Time. Time is the problem. I leave my day gig @ 16:30 & start the bistro gig at 17:00. It takes 20 min. to make the trip & about another 5 to get my knives out of the case, check for any changes to the menu, find where the prep cook put my sauces & other stuff for the dinners then fill my water bottle for the night. Dayshift boss has started letting me wear black jeans to work as long as I wear a nice button up shirt. This has helped. But next Wednesday I WILL be kilted. We'll take pix to prove it

Ah yes time in a kitchen is very hard to come by, understood.

Thumbs up The Boss Lady's comment

How about a Black Utilikilt Mocker, Black hose. She should let you fill the dress code with that! Perhaps I dream. If she likes them so much, she should allow it.
