    Computer still down

Yesterday I spoke to Hamish on the telephone. Sadly his computer is still playing up and not working right. Its a shame there is none of us that close to him to go around and sort it out. Unless someone knows someone? Just a thought.

My advice as a computer guy with twenty years of experience - shoot the thing and put it out of its misery. Tell him to go to the local high-tech store and get a new one. Sometimes it isn't worth it dealing with these old things.

On the other hand, if it's a newer computer tell us all what brand it is so we will know what not to buy the next time we are at the store looking at computers!

If he wants to know how much a new computer is likely to cost, tell him the current rate is two really nice kilts and he will understand.

    Kilts or computers.....hmm.....

Wonder if the wool from the kilts gets into our hard drives or something...

Over here in the colonies we can go to a public library and log on for free...

Guessing if he had that option he'd know about it.

Having just endured a similar ordeal I wish him well.

Lol, I don't know about "getting into" the hard drives, but wool can generate a lot of static electricity. Perhaps he just went for a stroll and then zapped the thing
