Here is a photo of a statue honoring Lincoln and Scottish soldiers who fought for the Union during the Civil War. I took this last summer while in Scotland for the Gathering.

In the most respectful manner I can muster, I would like to know why it's acceptable to "honor" Lincoln and his actions/agenda on this forum, but any opposing viewpoint is considered "political" and subject to moderation. I think it's a fair question.
Isn't this entire subject doomed to get political?
