historically correct???

....talk about being historiclly corect, you aught to see these guy's perform. Six war drums of various diameters and one piper. The 2d from left performs without any top - just his kilt wrapped around - he really blows you away.

All of my research says the great kilt was never worn without a shirt, though in battle it wasn't uncommon to wear the shirt without the kilt.

Since this is in the historical attire section...
Here's one of the color images off the page linked to.

I don't really think their clothing is historically correct from any era. It actually looks rather "post apocolyptic" to me. One might call it "modern tribal."
It consists of a mix of modern and historically inspired elements. For example, in addition to the belted plaids, one sees tank tops and modern sandals being worn. Many of these guys looks familiar -- I think I've seen them at some of the Highland Games here in the states, and they are always wearing a mix of modern and historically inspired clothing.
