    Iced over in San Antonio

    Guys

Over the past 3 days San Antonio (especially my area) has iced over bad. Its about freezing temp outside. My cactuses are sitting in a square stone planter thats part of our mailbox. The entire planter and the cactuses are ice solid. There is a CM thick square cover over the top of our square mailbox and if you dare step on the grass, the grass breaks off in ice chunks. I am guessing most of the plants are dead now. My old car, is covered completly in ice, I tried to open the trunk to get something out and I had to use a block of wood to break off CM thick ice over the seams and top, FINALLY it opened. Work has been delayed at my new job 2 days. goes to show that South Texas can indeed, freeze over.

I heard about that, we have a branch down there and they couldn't open, I hope everything is ok and it melts soon.

Looks like my trip down there at the beginning of the year was perfect timing. Hard to imagine you folks getting that kinda weather.

Scotexan, in a pinch the cassette tape case makes a nifty ice scraper for the windshield. Do not use boiling water, saw a guy do that on his BMW. Oh well if he can afford a beemer, he can afford a new windshield (CRACK)!

A CD case works nicely too.

One of our reps has been without electricity since yesterday morning in the same area. We're used to that stuff up here but you guys down there..... Not good to say the least.

Of course, we have 30 and 20% chance of snow this weekend...that will make the 5th straight week of snow at the end of the week.

Texas drivers on ice? Not fun at all. Stay safe and warm.

Yeah, but Greg, look at it this way, at least you're not moving this weekend like I am!
