    Internet bookmarks

I had all of my internet bookmarks with a service called Ma.gnolia.
It crashed, I'm s.o.l on getting my bookmarks back, and left looking for another service.
    Any advice?
I looked at diigo, but you have to download a toolbar to use it. I don't want or need yet another toolbar hogging space.
I looked at delicious, but it's owned by yahoo and didn't care for it's privacy policy.
I liked ma.gnolia b/c it had a small widget that I added to an existing toolbar.
when I wanted to bookmark a page, I clicked the button, entered some tags, and I was done. I don't care about joining groups, or publishing to blogs, or any of the other social aspects of these sites. I just want a place I can access bookmarks, from anywhere.
    thanks in advance

I use Foxmarks with Firefox. It stays out of the way, and adds a menu in Firefox. You can set it to sync your bookmarks automatically, or at your request. I only use it infrequently, but it's a good service.

I don't mess with any of those bookmarks. I save a URL shortcut from sites and pagesI need, then I keep back up copies of that collection of URLs on external devices and etc.

If it is informational content, like something I am researching or reading up on, then I also make a HTML copy of the information and back it up in the same way. Pages on the web go away sometimes! Sometime librarians throw books away too, so it works at the old fashion library too.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…
