Was gonna say the same thing . It seems more...roller derby-ish.

You gotta post pics, and not just of the UK!

roller derby, kilts and highland dancing

A few years ago, our highland dance group, New York Celtic Dancers did the half time show for the Gotham Girls roller derby in New York City. Of course we were kilted. You can watch the video that's on our website, NYCDancers.org

Kilts are officially official for derby officials

Appropriately enough, I was out with a couple of my Big Easy Rollergirls (BERG) peeps
MudFlap Girl and Carrie Fister on Friday, and they mentioned that kilts are
specifically INCLUDED as suitable attire for referees by the national Flat Track Roller Derby Association.
(Carrie and MudFlap appreciate that Girls Don't Wear Kilts)

If this thread and Scott's photos get you interested, find your nearest league
and attend a bout - it will remind you that some athletes really Just Love The Game.
(...while watching ten women in tights fighting on wheels and enjoying a Beverage of Your Choice!)

Of course, if you're in New Orleans, you know we love our BERG!

Got a good friend who is a roller. Goes by the name "Tara Armov" and skates with the Los Angeles Derby Dolls. She even has her own T-shirt...

Love that girl.

Freedom Kilts has a new Kiltmaker. Mikko is also a ref for one of our local teams, "Eves of Destruction".

It just doesn't get any better than this.

Looks like I won't be making that Jacksonville bout! I've been asked to attend a weekend long derby bootcamp in Tampa on the same weekend.

Mikko looks awesome!!!!
