    "Land of the Celtic Ghosts"

Does anyone else remember this documentary? It was released back in 1979, and the actor Richard Basehart provided the narration. I remember seeing it back in the early 90's when my cousin taped it off the old Nostalgia channel. It was a great documentary.

    Cheers,

    Todd

I remember the day I realized there were adults who couldn't remember where they were when John Kennedy was assassinated (Obviously this realization hit me a looonnnngggg time ago).

Getting back on topic, if anyone has a copy of this particular documentary, please let me know. I've been looking for one for quite some time now.

I did a little digging, and the film in question was released on VHS by VCI Entertianment, a company that sells video of public domain films and old TV shows: http://www.vcient.com/ but it is long out of print. It has never been reveased on DVD. You might consider contacting VCI .

Update: I called VCI today and they couldn't find any record of it, more's the pity.

Damn, that sucks. If I ever run across it, you'll be the first to know.

This interests me because the date of the program fits into my timeframe and I was always a hardcore watcher of anything on the supernatural that was on TV. Some of the shows that were like the one that you're looking for were very, very good and creepy in a documentary way.

I remember one show from back then titled "The Stately Ghosts of England" wherein they spoke about the ghosts of monks who got wiped out in one of those Henry VIII events...their ghosts are said to still walk in the chapel but since the chapel was rebuilt and the floor was raised a couple of feet, they're still walking on the ORIGINAL floor and are seemingly cut off at their waists.

    Woooo...scary stuff, eh, kids?

Have faith, though...there must be a copy of it out there somewhere...perhaps still on 16mm film? That'd be a find. Somebody somewhere must have it.

Best (and good hunting....or is it haunting?)

    AA
