Also a bit of history on the Book Of Cells, and at least one loch monster at the end of the movie.
I still remember the very 1970's-looking parapsychologist discussing the tape-recorder theory of ghosts, and the celtic cross monument to the victims of a IRA massacre during the Irish Civil War.

Copies available!

I asked the BGU library about getting a copy (noting that it was copyrighted but no longer available from holder). Here's the resulting e-mail thread, complete with how to get your very own DVD copy for $20 plus S/H! Might want to have just one person get it to begin with, and make sure it is the one you are all looking for -- but the BGU librarian did include ID from their copy, so with any luck it is the right piece. I've already thanked her, but if you end up getting a long-lost copy, you might throw another nice note her way.

Sydnie,

I emailed the company and this is what I received. Does this help?

Yes, have them reference this email. Then we will get it copied for them once we hear from them. Thanks

Thanks for replying so quickly! I’ll pass this on to our patron and they can contact you directly, if that is all right. Should they reference this email?

Thank you again.

Hello,

I talked with the President of VCI and he said we could do a DVD-R copy for $19.99 plus shipping and handling.

Thanks

Hello,

We’ve had an inquiry about a video in our collection entitled “Land of Celtic Ghost” from what looks a series called “The Main Events”. The year on it is 1996 and the number is #9205. Is this selection still available? I assume it’s still under copyright. The person inquiring about it would like a copy. Any information you could give would be appreciated.

E-mail sent. I'll let you know what they say!

Many thanks, Sydnie, for doing the leg-work on this!

When it rains...

...it pours! I just received an e-mail about Vidstar releasing The Land of the Celtic Ghosts on DVD next year:

http://www.myvideostore.com/content/...client=vidstar

So, it looks like I will go from zero to two copies by St. Patrick's Day.

Hah! Maybe all those inquiries to the owner did the trick?

Happy to hear it's coming back from the dead, so to speak. . .
