    Are you ordained too then?

I did the online Universal Life Church thing...Got a certificate and everything. Can I wear the clergy tartan? I may only be able to perform weddings in a prison, however...

I did the Universal Life online ordination a while back for fun but then it doesnt get me very far here in the UK as being clergy (unless of the established Church of England) does not give you the status of registrar.

I have no idea if there is a definition of entitlement to wear the clergy tartan upon such a basis as you cite, most clergy have to study for years and have their vocation tested by others of the ordaining organisation. Clicking on a website and being told you are ordained by a computer, well there's no comparison.

For me it's a bit like Bonhoeffer's cheap and easy grace.
Reverend Earl Trefor the Sublunary of Kesslington under Ox, Venerable Lord Trefor the Unhyphenated of Much Bottom, Sir Trefor the Corpulent of Leighton in the Bucket, Viscount Mcclef the Portable of Kirkby Overblow.

Change your name to "Clark" and wear the Clergy tartan anyway.

See. It's that easy with this stuff.
