    Thanks for the link!

    I've already found a promising name: Thomas Morys, an archer who served under the Earl of Arundel in the 1380s. A possible ancestor, although there's probably no way of proving it.

    My only complaint is that the English exchequer apparently lacked the foresight to note down where the soldiers were from, who their parents were, who they were married to, who their children were, who their siblings....
