    my new whisky

Has anyone tried the blended whisky from Scottish Parliament? Some friends just returned from a trip home and brought back a bottle of Scottish Parliament blended whisky from Edinburgh as a gift. They even got it signed by their local member of Parliament.

It will hold a nice location in the showcase, but I wonder how the taste is and I don't want to open it just yet. It may get cracked on Burns night, but not before.

Just a guess, but it probably tastes something like Scotch.

Only a legislative body could come up with a blended whisky. The ultimate compromise. Guess they could not all agree on a single malt!!

I would certainly hope so! I'll be ticked if it tastes like vodka.

I have had good blends and some real crap blends. Since this is only available in Scotland I am wondering what the opinion is of anyone that has tried it. Is it good enough to drink on it's own or is it destined to be used for a mix.

Yeah, that's always a good way too. I am going to hang on to it for awhile as it is only available at the Parliament building in Edinburgh and my friends had it signed by their MLA. It was a very nice gift and one I will look forward to showing off. As for drinking it, that too will come.

I haven't been in much of a whisky mood as of late so I will wait for now.
