I like X-marks, I have never visited any of the other forums but do have an idea of their content and direction from some of the posts here.

Everyone here on X-marks conducts themselves in a gentlemanly fashion and are truly interested in kilts. I have no reason to go anywhere else.

If they make a donkey out of themselves, or start a Man in a Skirt (not kilt) fight, they get locked. If persistant or greivous enough, they get banned. That is what the rules are for, and though some may not like them, they keep this sight the friendly, helpful medium it is.

Additionally, the software here is adaptable for many computer systems (PC and Mac), as well as easy to use!

The forum and its software may be terribly out of date but it still has great articles and essays... esp. for the novice kilt wearer. I don't post there much but I still check in regularly. WDP hinted recently that he had entertained the thought of shutting it down due to health concerns.

If for some reason that happens, I hope he at least keeps the essays up or perhaps gets a blog going. It would be a shame to see the site disappear.

Agreed, the essays/articles should remain accessable. They are very relevant to kilting.

If he shuts down, maybe that articles could be transferred over here. Thereby, they may not be lost in to the ether of the net.

I looked at kilt sites and did not think I had a use for joining a kilt forum. BUT XMarks had so many answers, and good ones at that, I joined up. How lucky for me I have actually met five members in the real world.Everyone of them are wonderful and put up with me and my ways, at least for the day.

    Thank you everyone and Hank.
