Shot my Kilt Budget for a While

Kilt budget has been raided to buy a restored 1900 farm house on 1 acre of land. We moved in 10 days ago and are still unpacking and working on a complete new kitchen.

    This is it:

Neighbors are still getting used to seeing a kilted guy working around the house.

Kilt budget will be restored when our other property sells - who knows when in this depressed market.

A worthy case to forgo the kilt budget, congratulations, I hope your other place sells soon.

Congrats on your new home!! It looks very nice!

With your old farmhouse and the one Karen and I just bought we might have to start a new Xmarks catagory...kilties who own old houses!

The outside looks like it's been restored nicely. How is the inside and substructure of the house? There are a lot of old farm houses like that around where I live, and I always like it when somebody takes one and fixes it up instead of just tearing them down and loosing all of the history.

Very nice Brian, just think of it a a very, very large kilt wardrobe. Now the challenge is to fill it (when the other house sells).

I agree - a good, deep porch is a wonderful thing. So many new houses have an "architectural feature" purported to be a porch, but you can't even fit a good rocker on it.

Congratulations on the house, Brian, and I hope the old one sells soon.

Nice looking homestead. That must have been SOME kilt budget!
Good luck selling your prior home. I pity you for all the unpacking--moving is such a pain!
