The first week of December I went to strap on my USA Kilt five yarder in Robertson red. Needed kilt extenders to do the job.
The same week went for my annual physical and my physician wanted to put me on Tricor for my elevated Triglycerides (416). I told her, I didn’t want to take it and asked give me 6 months I will get them to a acceptable level by getting my weight down by exercising and eating a plant based diet following the ‘Eat to Live’ diet espoused by
Dr. Joel Fuhrman. She rolled her eyes and said I’ll give you 3 months.
Well, today 10 weeks later and 20 pounds lighter, I strapped on the same kilt in celebration of the birthday of
Hugh Mercer (Scottish, British and American Patriot). It fit perfectly. The 20 pounds is 10% of previous weight. I get the lipid profile tests in two more weeks.
A little late but met the Challenge. The threat of taking meds gave me the push to get it done. Thanks, Chubrock!
