On vacation

We visit the Brittish Open, say hello to P1M, Rab Gordon and perhaps Cessna.

Liverpool, Helensburg, Ord, St.Andrews, Hexham.

Gonna visit Yorkshire Dales (near Skipton), Balquhidder(clan seat), Loch Lomond, Loch Ness(Drumnadrochit), Ord, Culloden, Speyside, St. Andrews, Stirling, STA in Crieff, Geoffrey(Tailor) and Kinloch Anderson in Edinburgh, Lochcarron in Galashiels and Hadrians Wall.

I'll take 3 kilts with me, Xmarks, Isle of Skye and Maclaren muted.

I'll be back August 5th...

Well this seems to be a definitive trip program, so maybe some of us can meet over there... you can check my trip plan at the calendar, but anyway, Here it goes:

31st of July to Aug. 2nd > LONDON (it would be a pleasure to have the chance to meet some of the english xmarkers there, as Hamish, Paco, David, etc,...)

3rd and 4th of aug.> STIRLING and round it (maybe lettin mysel fall oot for the edinburgh fest,... but not at all interested in getting out of a crowd to fall into another!)

5th of aug.>INVERNESS (So I can meet Highlander Daz there too for a nite at some pub!)

6th and 7th of Aug.> DRUMNADROCHIT (Put those beers to chill, Rab, and remember to have ready that we talked about! lol)

8th and 9th of Aug.> SKYE (Heilan games to be seen for the 1st time)... and also Tallisker distillery)

10th and 11th of Aug.> DUMFRIES (I also appoint you, Robertson to keep some drops of those golden wonders you got on ur cellar)

12th, 13th and 14th till I take my plane to come back.> GLASGOW to be enjoyed with a spanish mate that lives over there...

So you know,... I'll be pleased to enjoy meeting you all there, ok? as far as it's possible!... ah! a last advice... not going to be dressed really formally,... much more going for the boots, rolled hose and t-shirt style,... just as another usual kilted backpacker!

Have fun at the Open, Robin. If I get a chance to watch it, I'll look for the XMark tartan (& the others).

I think Robin is meeting Rab Gordon in Inverness and I'm hoping to meet up with Robin at Lochcarron in Galashiels on 3rd August. I won't be anywhere near Inverness. I'm due to meet up with P1M, David Dalglish and Niblox in Dumfries on Monday 14th August.

So I'm at The Open now...lovely weather...pretty hot even.

On day 1 (Thursday)...Xmarks kilt, very comfortable! I think I was the only kiltwearer at the Open

Only one comment...a marshall "hey! that kilt must be comfortable...not sure about those boots and socks though". I wore lightweight summer boots with hose down...no problems at all.

On day 2 I'll wear the muted MacLaren...
