I ended up making the "wrong" choice and dying in battle with Wallace, but then that's my heritage I hope that I got to cut off my left hand and lob it into the fray and charge in after it! Sanguis et Vulnera!

Thanks for the link! I enjoyed the "game" - an engaging, interactive way to learn about Scottish history.

Being somewhat familiar with Scottish history, I was able to ultimately do well in the Scottish wars of independence & ended up a noble rewarded with land by King Robert. Just following Clan Robertson tradition! (Of course, a few centuries later, the Robertson Clan threw in their lot with Prince Charlie & the Jacobites & pretty much lost everything.)

I died at Falkirk with Wallace, but ancestors were naturally contentious and craved a fight so I'm not terribly surprised: Clans Donald, Macleod, Rose, the Welsh Williams, and french Hugenot.

    Bryan...this is why I don't gamble-I'm a natural loser...

By the by - if you click on the "Scotland Education" link on the left side there are some other interesting bits including some basic lessons in Scots Gaelic.

    Wallace and Bruce...

I, being a descendant of the Comyns, opposed Bruce.

    Cheers,

Let's see, I was thrown in prison for supporting John, then died fighting alongside Wallace.

That was really cool! I went through it twice. The first time, I was killed at Falkirk. Then the 2nd time I made it all the way through.
    Great post!
