Watering hole in Africa - webcam action
Found this on another forum, and thought some here would find it interesting.
A webcam that is on a watering hole in Africa

another link with some background that shows the time.

It's pretty addicting; the link got posted yesterday, and there's already 9 pages of discussion about what's going on. The sound alone is pretty cool; I have the computer hooked into the surround system in the living room, and even if there's nothing happening on the cam, just the sound of the birds and insects is nice to have playing in the background. It's kinda' like those evironmental records from the seventies, 'cept this is real, and in real time.

There's some buffalo type critters there right now, and I was watching a troop of baboons earlier.

Oh. and once in a while, it seems someone is monitoring the feed, and panning and zooming the surrounding area as well - like right now.

Hmmm... what I'm seeing looks like a dry hole with a few large stones (?) in it.

I think the camera guy got eaten and the camera panned down.
There had been several monkeys and water buffalo roaming around for the past hour. Very Cool stuff.

Iolas, that is cool. I've been watching what I think are baboons. I hate to say it, but I keep waiting for a lion to appear & start something.

There are some webcams around some of the "watering holes" here in Key West..Sloppy Joe's, Hog's Breath Saloon, Schooner Wharf. Sometimes the "wildlife" will include a kilted native accompanied by a sassy redhead!
