Wildest tattoo request I ever received...
A couple of years ago (when I worked in a tattoo shop here in town) we had this young guy we were apprenticing to tattoo. He ended up flaking out on most of his training. And, I think he was more in it for the "free tattoos" (a common perk for those who work in a tattoo shop.) We became decent friends over a year or so, and I was on the giving end of a lot of his free ink. He comes up to me one day, stone face, and asks if I'll tattoo his unit. I had a good laugh about it. Especially when he specified what he wanted. He wanted me to tattoo his "bag and chanter" to be JUST THAT. He wanted the bag to be tartan, and his man apendage to be a chanter. The drones were to be tattooed in the "hair region."
As humorous as it was, I had to turn it away. I'm secure enough in myself that the region wouldn't bother me. But, the problem was I had no idea how to actually approach the technical part of it all. The most concerning part was the bag. Oh well. I'd meant to post this little story for a little while, but had forgotten all about it until reading Davedove's post. I figured I should make a seperate post so as not to highjack his.

I would be more concerned about liability issues if something were to "go south", become infected, or suffer a permanent malfunction of some sort. I'll bet there's a shop in Hong Kong that would do it.

some areas should NOT be touched by a tattoo needle.

I've seen a number of tattoos done in that area. A friend of mine actually has a dragon tattooed there.

My lower stomach muscles tensed tight enough to crack a Brazil nut when I read that one! Being one of the marked ones also, I sometimes imagine places where I would and would not get ink. There? ..... no way no how.

I once heard a story about a barber pole.......
Give a man a beer, he wastes an hour....
Teach a man to brew, he wastes a lifetime.....

I got a request to tattoo a guy there; nothing so complicated, just a smiley face on the end. I told him it would be $300 just for me to think about doing it and he backed off.
