    Woohoo!

Not a big to anyone but me but I finally placed in solo competition in Highland snare drumming at the Springfield Illinois Highland Games this weekend! 1st place!

Like I said, not a big deal to anyone else really but I've been working at this for four years and finally a little bit of validation, nice! A good day for me! My band also placed, 3rd overall in our grade. considering we played a bad medley by our standards, not too shabby!

Congratulations, I think that is just great.

Well done sir. To both you personally and your band collectively!

Well done, the lot of you!

It's tough to start as an adult---you're doing great for 4 years in, but no doubt it feels like an eternity.

Will you be in Livonia in August for the St. Andrew Society of Detroit's Highland Games?
