    Enter The Haggis

I have reading various posts mentioning Enter The Haggis. I went out and bought thier album "Soapbox Heroes".

I must say that I am rather impressed. They are a very polished sounding band.

I thought that "The Barfly" sounded very much like something that Billy Joel might have sung.

I would suggest "Casualties of Retail". Believe it or not, that album turned my wife, a die hard C&W lover, into a Celtic music fan.

Although I haven't seen it for sale widely as of late, "Aerials" is also a great CD from Enter the Haggis, has more trad stuff on it. But "Casualties of Retail" is a great one, with it's leanings towards bluegrass. The band really shows their polish, and they're a lot of fun to see live. I didn't get a chance to post ahead of time that they appeared on Regis and Kelly on the pre-St. Patrick's show.

I googled them and am listening to them now. Its a good mix of celtic music (ie fiddles and bagpipes) and rock. I like them.

Enter the Haggis (a great band!) and Albanach (also a great band!) will be in Phoenixville PA on 12 May (the day of the Phoenixville Celtic Festival).

Rocky posted info on the festival and tickets for this show.

WARNING: Since we've added Albannach to the show, the tickets have really started to move. If you plan on coming, I would buy tickets ahead of time just to be sure... I don't want people to come out to the show and be sold out.

Hope to see you guys there.

Hey Rocky, won't be able to make it to Phoenixville and I know I'm going to miss a great time, between the parade and the concerts. We're going back to Ireland to tour the west and north right after that w/end. We hope to see you again at the Celtic Classic again later this year though.
