Attack by the kilted ones, Newport KY December 8

There is a rumor afoot that several kilted folks from the KY/OH/IN area (and perhaps an even wider area) will gather in Newport KY the evening of December 8th for an hour or several of merriment. PM me if you can join in the fun (the organizers want a head count beforehand), but figure on Hofbrauhaus in Newport (200 E Third St) that evening.

I'm going to be off in French Lick IN working on a movie.

What movie is being shot in French Lick...and where? Must be something basketball related. Am I right?
I used to live there when I was a kid. Walking down the train tracks with my cousins we would see Larry Bird playing softball in the back yard with his family sometimes. (That's pretty much my claim to fame, by the way...)

My boss's boss's boss is hosting a holiday party in her home on that date. It's sort of obligatory that I attend. (I haven't decided yet whether wearing a kilt to this event will be career limiting.)

This Saturday, I'm attending a late afternoon wedding and evening reception.
Next Saturday it's the aforementioned party.
The following weekend, I'll be spending all day at a cookie party, but the evening's probably free, if you don't mind a drunk kiltie in a creamed butter-and-sugar coma.
One of these Sundays I'm trying to go see Musical of Musicals at the Shelter House.

Those are my only plans so far.

So far, there is a table reserved that will seat 12. I know of at least six or eight folks who will be there.

Drop me an email at bikeolounger with the domain of bellsouth on the net, and I'll forward to the guy who is making the reservations.

Start time will be 1900 local time, and who knows how late it will go?

There is a hotel less than two blocks away.

I was 20 minutes away, but shackled to my textbooks. I'm kinda surprised Yeti didn't borrow a car to come up. A kilt meeting should be a great excuse to come see one's lady who was unable to leave campus this weekend.
