August 13 Kilt Night CANCELLED

Due to faltering interest, the previously scheduled August 13 Kilt night in Gettysburg is now cancelled. I tried twice, folks...If anyone else in south-central PA wants to try to organize a kilt night, be my guest. My apologies to anyone who had planned on coming up for this.

I had tentatively planned on coming out, but have made other plans since I read this post.

For future refference... you don't need a LOT of people to make a kilt night a success... just invite everyone you know with a kilt and a couple of your close friends (even if THEY don't wear a kilt).

Best case scenario... you have a bunch of guys in kilts drinking and carrying on.

Worst case scenario... you are the only kilted one hanging out with your friends (which means YOU get all the attention).

Sounds like a good time any way you slice it!

When we have kilt nights out here, we have anywhere from 2 or 3 people to 20 + people. When you get a LOT of positive feedback from kilted friends about a particular kilt night, reservations are a good idea (ask the people at Brittinghams... right Magnus, Declan, Robert, Steve, Joe, Zak, Jeremy, and everyone on here that I missed that has gone with me to Brit's).

The Aug 26th kilt night in Baltimore has gotten very little response on Xmarks, but Kelly and I are still going. We may have 8 people (friends and customers) or we may have 2 people... either way, we're going to see the Charm City Saints and the Skels... 2 great Irish bands and a great bunch of guys!

Thanks for the advice, Rocky...I appreciate you planning on coming all the way out here for the night...I think that a kilted friend and I are going to attempt a September kilt night, and I will post it here as soon as it's finalized. Speaking of Brittingham's...Are you planning on being out there for "St. Practice Day" (Sept 17?)...Barleyjuice is playing!
