Binx at the Gathering

My wife, Peggy, and I just said, "so long," to Binx. He came up here for a few days and spent today with Raphael and Ham 'n Dave. (I made kilts at the store.) They saw Fort Langley and Grouse Mountain. I think they had a fourteen hour day just seeing the sights. (Raphael is a very good host!)
Binx is a great guy. If you have a chance to meet him, go for it. We sat and talked in the pub for a couple of hours the other night. When he came by to see the store yesterday, he stayed long enough to be polite, then let me get back to work. He flies back home tomorrow.
The rest of us are heading out to UBC to see the Japanese gardens. This will be my first chance to spend the day with Ham 'n Dave. I'm a little busy lately.

Just got back a couple hours ago. Last minute trip to the Gathering was so fantastic, I wished I'd had the whole week in Vancouver, so much to do and see, spending the whole time being kilted. Raphael was the perfect host, running me around with his family, and Ham and Dave, for the day. Bear is a fabulous guy AND kiltmaker; so fortunate to have spent time talking about kiltmaking and seeing his shop. And Ham 'n Dave were so wonderful to hang with; that British wit had me chuckling the whole day. Greatest time I have had in years! Thanks Raphael for showing me the very best of Vancouver, BC!! 8-)
