I'd better not venture out tonight then...I prefer to be "tanned and rested"* for these kilt outings.

*With red hair (what's left of it) and blue eyes, tanned is a relative term...if I get a little bit pink, that's my George Hamilton level and I quit there. Also, with three dogs and three cats in the house, being rested is also a relative term.

Yeah, I need to rest up for all the festivities.

RATS! Here I sit in Roswell while my social butterfly brother kilts away. There's no justice.

Just chiming in since I seem to have beat the other members of the Chicago Kilted Brethren home (had to connect with my son at the commuter train station to see that he had a safe ride home...nothing says "protection" like a sinister looking father in a kilt).
Gret nicht out! Absolutely lovely to meet MacTavish of Japan and his Mrs. Hope that they enjoyed the evening as much as the Chicago rabble did.
I left them all at the Galway Arms enjoying their libations.
Safe ride home, y'all.

Just wanted to add our thanks to the Chicago guys for a fun night out. It truly is one of the best aspects of this forum is the sociability of it's members. Thanks again, I'll post what pictures I have when I have time!

I feel really bad about missing this night, as I was REALLY looking forward to it, but I'd done quite a bit of overtime over the last couple of weeks, and the Mrs. made it pretty clear that spending time with her and the wee one Saturday night would go a long way to "ensuring domestic tranquility" (as the Constitution puts it.
Count me in for the next one, though.

The guys explained why you weren't there and it was a shame to miss meeting you, however, as the governor of California used to say "I'll be back!!!"
