DFW Members - Irving Chorale w/ Connie Dover

Allright, y'all, last night I went to the Hunt Family concert in Irving (reallygood, BTW). A gentleman came up to me while we were waiting for the doors to open and said "May I ask you a question?" I expected something different ("The question") but he wanted to know my Clan affiliation (Lamont) and he wanted to know if I would do him a favor. Here it is: The Irving Chorale is performing at the Irving Arts Center on 12-19-08 at 8:00 PM. Special Guest this year is Connie Dover. In keeping w/the "Celtic Christmas" theme, the Irving Chorale would like to have a multitude of kilted guests for the Connie Dover performance. This gentleman, Ken, has tickets which he will sell us kilties for half price, yes half price. So let's get together and support the Irving Chorale, listen to Connie Dover (quite possibly the best Irish soprano I've ever heard) and save some money (good for the Scot in ya). How about it?

I don't know if we'll be able to make it yet (just woke up), but I'll send out PM's to get folks over here and let 'em know about this. I just wanted to thank you for posting this and let you know I got your PM, too.

Thanks so much for posting about events, CelticSire! Always nice to know about the events around the area!

    Sounds like a fine time!

How much are the tickets and how do we contact Ken about his offer?

Tickets are $10 for adult and $5 for children, student and senior citizen The gentleman's name is Ken Cochran and he asked that we give him a general idea of how many tickets we would need by Monday the 15th and he will get them to us. I'm going to operate as liaison at Ken's request to make his logistics easier. So, I'm down for four. Anyone? Anyone?

That sounds great, wish I could go! We already have plans for that night or I definitely would. And here I could have finally met someone else from Clan Cochran(e).

Looks as though, myself and the spousal unit might just be able to make it. Will confirm.
Sounds like a nice relaxing time.
