Hot Dang... Gave my first ever "Toast to the Lasses"
We had our Scotish fundraising night at a local Irish Pub tonight. Complete with entertainment from the kids and some of the parents.
I kicked off the event with a "Toast to the Lasses", which was personally, a lot of fun. I wrote it myself from blank paper. It was a hit. !
About 4 acts into the night, My wife, Kelly, gave a canned "Lasses Response" so all is balanced in the Gaffney house tonight.
I borrowed my SWK Standard Irish Nat'l Tartan, some hose, flashes and the ever not-too-popular, Home made canteled Shamrock / Fox fur sporran to one of the other parents. For a walking stick...he used a 9 iron. Oh well. It was all very fun.
My buddy from a neighboring town Kilted up and joined in for the festivities, and one of the students showed up kilted.
I noticed quite a few teenie boppers fliting around him tonight.
He became a ladies man in an instant.
Ahhhhh the power of the Kilt.
Before Giving the toast I was pounding down Guinnesses for courage, and after the toast was given, I was pounding Guinesses in celebration.
What a great night.
We packed that little Irish pub wall-to-wall like it was St Patty's day, rather than a regular Monday eveniing.
Entertainment went on from 6:30 till 9:00.
not a bad way to start the week.
Just had to share...

Great kilted descent on Coonie! That's a great pub!
