Kilt Night planning thread-Victoria,BC Mar 19.
Hear ye, hear ye.
Alex (Cessna152towser) will be visiting Victoria on Sat. the 19th of March 2011.
We would like to plan a Kilt Night in honor of Alex. This thread is to announce and plan.
Any ideas and suggestions are welcome.
This would be a great opportunity for some of our newbies to experience a kilt night and for those who haven't met Alex to enjoy an evening with him.
The first suggestion is that we meet starting around 5:00pm at FK for meet and greet. Then over to the Fernwood Inn for dinner. Afterwards perhaps a car pool downtown to either the Irish Times or the Bard & Banker pubs.
I'll start looking around to see what music is available that evening.
p.s. There is an chance, and I stress just a chance, that our new travelling Quaich will be ready by this kilt night.

Steve, I'll be there with bells on. Anna will be on the other side of the world, though.

I'll be there, too, all going according to plan. Is there anything that can be done to gain some speed for the Quaich, Steve? Such as transporting it 'round the world in someone's luggage.

I have sent an X Marks Badge to the Quaich makers for mounting in the bowl.
They are preparing artwork for the Dandelion handles.
I should have an update for everyone in about a week or so.

I would be honored to join everyone at the Bard and Banker or Irish times for a drink or two and meet some of our local kilted gentlemen and ladies and some from abroad! Whether I am able to wear my kilt at this point is totally dependent on if I'm lucky enough to be in possesion of my new kilt being sewn by Steve and the gang at FK by then! I can't think of a better way to break it in if it is! Here's hoping!

Sounds good to me, any excuse to wear my digs is great news. I will look forward to meeting everyone and will likely bring the wife along as well...
