    Kilt Nights in Philly

Anyone want to have a kilt night NOT at a bar? I mean, I am too young to go to finnagen's wake. Once I'm 21, I'll be there though! But seriously, does anyone want to have a kilt night somewhere were all ages are allowed? Like a scottish festival or something? Who knows. I don't know of anything happening... Let me know!

    Good idea cousin,

I'm a long way from Philly, but I finally had to quit the booze...wouldn't be comfortable in a bar either - even kilted.

Maybe a restaurant that served those who are able to drink without it kicking their arse, but not a bar with booze everywhere to help underage and sober cousins feel more at ease.

While I am of the legal age and tend to embibe on weekends, we may be able to do something to bring you into the fold, young man. If you want to meet up for a meal on South Street or hit a show (who's playing at the Troc or the TLA?) or something, let me know. Call me at the shop and/or email me. I'm 1/2 hour out of philly... In Audubon PA.

Sounds great guys. South street is wonderful. I love it, and I can take the septa train into it. so that's convient. I know there is an irish store and some irish themed restuarants there as well. It'd be nce to meet ya as well Macdonald. Since our clans were good friends back in the home country, I'm sure we could be too cousin! We could talk about kilts, clans, and just have a goodtime.

Sadly Johathan, I live in the canyonlands of Northern Arizona just south of the Utah line...a long trip to Philly.

Haven't been to Philadelphia since 1970 but still have some interesting memories...like people I don't know opening my car door at stop lights, getting into my passenger seat, and asking for money...

Walking miles from plane to terminal during airport remodeling...

Good beer and good chow memories though...I'm sure its all better in the last 35 orbits of our nearest star.

There is a brewpub on market street right at Market East so those of us who have to ride the train into the city (me! me!) can get there easily. There is good food, lots of room for big groups, beer for those of us who will partake (me! me!) but alternatives for those who won't/can't.

Someone must be going to Kildare's in KoP; I went there tonight (kilted) with my family for dinner and none of the staff even batted an eye or seemed like they were in any way seeing anything new.

Dude, there's a couple bouncers there that not only own kilts... but one is a SportKilt distributor.

Kildare's is a favorite stage for Barleyjuice, and one of my favorite dinner spots. Not only are we all in kilts, but we go there OFTEN in the kilts to see other groups like The Hooligans, Stone Soup, Bogside Rogues, and Birnam Wood. If I go there in anything BUT a kilt... that's when I get looks!
